If you look at the gym routines of any of the world's best golfers you'll notice one thing that they're working on quite a lot that you maybe aren't working on I hadn't considered to be important and that's the legs. For a lot of golfers the only reason they've got a pair of legs is so the king walk around the golf course. They're just used for transportation and when it comes to actually hitting the ball everything happens in the upper body and the legs don't really get involved.
If that was the case then why the world's best golfers working out like crazy why Phil Mickelson's calves bigger than anything else I've seen. You know massive calves on the guy swinging the club you know 120 miles an hour how does his calves affect that. Well the bottom half of the legs can be the engine of the golf swing a lot of ground force reaction been talked about now in terms of how we're going to squeeze a bit more distance out of these golfers top half the already doing a great job what we do to get the bottom half to be better.
