Often when we're looking for improvements in the game of golf we need to be looking at who did it the best and then let's copy what they did. Now for a lot of golfers when we say well who's Johnny Miller, they say oh he's the — he's the commentator guy on the telly, the opinionated one. And then it probably does him a bit of a disservice. Maybe that's what he does now but it does him a real disservice. You could go back and look at his playing career, you realize he was a lot more than just a commentator. Twenty five wins on tour, two major championships, Player of the Year in 1974 and a World Golf Hall of Famer says that he had a bit of something to do on the golf course before he started commentating.
And actually Johnny Miller’s record is fantastic but his renowned ball striking prowess is probably even better than his record. If you ask any of the tour players out there today, ball striking for ball striker who was the best player, A lot of them are going to come back to Johnny Miller. So when we look at how we're going to improve as golfers, maybe we look at the world's best players or the best players that have ever been and think that's the guy I'm going to copy. So when we look at somebody like Johnny Miller his record is great. His ball striking is fantastic. Let's have a little bit more of an in-depth look at the things that made his ball striking so good and if they are the things that we can learn from in our own games to improve our own ball striking.
