Tom Stickney – A Top 100 Golf Teacher
Hi I'm Tom Stickney Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor and today I want to talk to you about the chicken wing. Now we're going to pretend that you have a great path great pivott for whatever reason and you come through your arm and leading on your body. There's a million different ways to chicken wing the golf club or raising the club as it is being called.
So a great way to not feel yourself being so connected is to take your shirt tuck it under your left arm and all I'm going to do is hit nice and easy little golf shots, and all I'm trying to make my shirt up on my arm. What that is going to do is make sure my left arm is at my side makes my pivot continue to move and that glues keeping that left arm tight to the body. When you loose this feeling that's when you start to have the arms working independently from the body. So great chicken wing drill if you will this little motion happening tuck it under hit little pitch shots and that will give you the feeling of how to stay more connected.
