When we are talking about frustrations on the golf course the top shot is probably the king of frustrating shots. The absolute worst one of those is going to be a topped shot with a driver. Cause if you think you're going to hit the ball a long way you're looking down there at the fairway when you may have pounded out there over 200 yards and you set it with a big dog and then you top it and it goes 10 feet forward into the long grass become be no more frustration on the golf course. That's for a lot of golf was there's no reason to top the ball with a driver you've got the biggest clip out of all the clubs in your bag and you've got the ball on the tee peg one of those rare opportunities when you can see this thing up until this thing about any height you like. So if you can develop a nice routine the should be less and less top shots on the course I think a lot of golfers has the biggest frustration thirsty nerves get an slice. So the late for the tee time really up to the 1st tee peg the thing up excited about the day and starting Colts up at 10 yards in front of him on the bottom of that 1st tee shot is that can then set the rhythm for the rest of your round of golf. So I'd like to develop a nice. Strategy and I sort of warming up routine so you get to the course nice and early get yourself in the net sort the driving range if you can have a few swings make contact in the ball well with the driver before you get to the 1st tee.
All the things you can then consider when you actually go to the 1st tee is making sure that you tee the ball up at the correct height because the tee with the driver is quite a long tee. Normally you've got quite a deep club face we don't want to tear this thing too low if you push the tee all the way into the floor and balance the ball on it you can see that's going to be difficult for me to get the ball up in the air and sometimes the act of trying to lift the ball up in the swing causes the top shot. We're going to keep this thing up a little bit higher just pick it up a bit then position the club side around about half the ball sits above the top of the club face that should encourage a nice ping action lifting the ball up into the sky and creating a better contact a lot less top shots. One last thing to consider a driver that can cause the top shots is just trying to hit the thing too hard we get to the ball we realize we've got the driver it's going to be the longest shots of the day over swing throw our hands and arms up to lift up because we want to see where it goes and we go we don't get a good contact and we top it. So consider that if you can have a nice routine before you around the golf tee the ball up at the right level and when you're making your swing don't go too aggressive at it you should find your topping the ball less and less particularly with the driver.
