If you are struggling with your game one of the most important things that you can do is actually identify what you're bad golf shots are. Now this might sound like a very simple and odd statement to make because if you are hitting a bad golf shot you might think “I just hit it right or am I just hitting left,” but you need to know the cause. If you can know the cause of an inconsistent golf shot you can then start to work on the cure. If you just say, “well I am hitting it off to the right hand side, almost precisely for example you might be totally ignoring the fact that you are hitting a push slice for example which has a totally different path and face orientation.

So first things first, you need to identify what your inconsistent shot is. There's also different ways of doing this, the first way of doing it is to see where on the club face you are striking the ball. Now you can do this by either using a launch mark like GC2 HMT which has face measuring technology, or at the other end of the scale just get some foot spray, spray it on your clip face and when you hit it just check where the imprint is. Because where you are striking it off the face will have a massive effect on what's happening to the ball flight. A toe strike with a driver for example could be causing the ball to go left and you may think you may be hooking it when it's just the strike issue. You may be hitting it miles out to the right hand side but then you could understand that you're hitting it more at the heel with the irons. It's understanding what you’re inconsistent shots are and then going on to deal with them and that’s what this video series is all about how you can actually deal with the inconsistencies within your game.
