So these are what -- or barely look at what the basics are for a consistent golf field. Now a consistent golf field can have quite a few different definitions; for example if you're consistently hitting the 30 yard size, it might not quite be what you want but it is a consistent shot. And that's really the key here; because if you have consistence within your swing, that is a good thing, it is something to build about. Even if it is a consistent slice, at least you're probably doing the same things within your swing, time after time again. The only time where you realize it won't is if you're hitting a hook, then a push, then a pull, then a draw, then a slice; and you're hitting all these different ball flights one after the other. That then becomes a problem because you're delivery will go differently every time into impact, but it is exceptionally rare that that will happen. So with basics and what you want from a consistent golf shot, first of all strike; if you're striking it out of the centre of the club, then the ball will still go in off flying, then your issue is ether a path issue or a face-alignment issued.

That is the first place to start. If you're striking from the heel or the toe, your face and path might be quite good; but it is just a strike problem. So that's the first thing that you need to identify. The second thing you need to identify is if you're striking it okay but you're not quite as consistent as you could be; what is your swing tempo like? What is your swing rhythm like? Generally speaking, you can take most golfers; get them to have 100% energy swing, 100% power swing, and then get them to have 10 swings use, and a 70% swing or the 60% swing and the consistency of their shots will improve significantly. Just because they're slowing their technique down, they're having a more control over their body positions. So if you want to try and narrow down the consistent technique straight away: see where your strike is, try and get a centre using the drill that was done in the series, and then keep your tempo and your swing pace down to that 60 or 70%. And you should see in the leading, difference in the consistency.
