The technique of putting is one of the least technical aspects of any part of the golf game on the golf swing particularly. Because when we stand over the ball it's a relatively simple rocking back and through action and compared to a full swing was far less moving parts. However when golfers are putting there are often not as successful as they would like to be, and sometimes that's because of the mental challenges of the mental aspects of their stroke or their putting game aren't quite up to speed so a couple of things you could look for to try and improve the mental aspect of your technique one thing I would suggest is that you find the opportunities when you can be aggressive with putting. Quite often putting is about just tapping it close and tapping in and downhill fast breaking putt we can't be too aggressive but I've got myself a point here that is straight up the hill on a relatively steady green it's not too fast and certainly after the hole the hill just keeps rising. So I would look at a point like this and think here I can be quite assertive I can be quite aggressive worst case scenario on an aggressive uphill putt like this is putting it short of the hole and thinking I had that on line that was my one chance to be a little bit more assertive give it a run even if it doesn't go in what we'd like to see is that the ball at least has a chance by getting up towards the hole or bounced off the other ball as it came up short, but if we'd want to give this a good run would want to try and push it maybe even a couple of feet past the hole.

So we can try and give it a good run then it's got a chance of going in if you don't get it to the hole it's never going to go in so find a chance to be aggressive and make sure you get those putt past the hole where the rise is look for in terms of your mental aspects relating to the game to putting is to try and play more break. We often see a little a lot of club golfers don't allow enough break or curve so if this put was curving from right to left or left to right most golf with a largely. Straight to the hole I would often see the pop break under the hole so as a general rule try and think about hitting puts towards the high side of the hole if you read the braking you should always read the brake if you can read the braking you can see it's going to curve away just allow a bit more curvature and see if you can get a ball to sort of die into the top half of the hole rather than missing lower and shooting away contrary to the idea of being a bit more aggressive there are times when we just want to get down in to. Now if I had this prop but the opposite direction coming off that hill back down towards I am here on a quick a green that I wouldn't be aggressive in that scenario so this time in a place to think you know what I'm a long way from the hole I may be going the green in regulation but to put par is going to be sufficient I don't need to be aggressive trying to make birdie putts roll it close to it in to those times to be aggressive. There's times to be defensive there's also times when you need to read more break and if you can work on those three aspects hopefully you'll hold more putts and your mental game on the putting green will get stronger.
