Swinging the golf club with the driver is quite a difficult thing to do there are lots of different things that are happening in your swing. We are not going to try and cover all of those here but I am just going to throw 3 key ideas at you that will hopefully tie in together all the mechanics of your swing to help improve your golf driving. The 1st thing particularly relevant with the driver is we see an old flood with quite good mechanical swings but they don't have good balance and therefore they don't have good consistency one of the features of be off balance these people are always off balance the same way. So sometimes they'll be off balance forwards in they'll step into it sometimes to be balance backwards and will step out of it or the times into the ball they sway. So we want to try and achieve the goal for a good stable platform a nicely balanced throughout the whole swing and really that's tying into the 2nd point is the whole swing should finish in a balanced follow through.
So if I set up to the ball in this position, left and right foot 50/50 toes and heels 50/50 joint my back swing I move slightly to my right leg but on balance as I move through the shot all the way through to a full finish and again I'm I don't want to see people hitting the ball and staying on the spot. Like this way leaning back too much set up nicely balanced through to a nice balance follow through position that's a great way of maximizing your getting nice consistent reliable drives. The thing you consider with your driving is keeping your head behind the ball until the point of impact. So we set up to the ball with a driver the ball is ahead of center that's quite a noticeable difference to some of your iron shots where the ball would have been more on about the center of your stance this time it's over to the left side position. As we hit the ball the head's going to be behind the ball at the point of impact then we move through to a finish if we have the head in front of the ball the point of impact chances are we're sliding on top of the ball in front of the ball hitting down on the ball too much not using enough loft. So nice and balanced big full finish position but don't let the head get ahead of the ball until you've got to be struck it got 3 good overarching principles to help improve your golf driving.
