There is often nothing more frustrating than being around the side of the green in regulation and then duffing or fatting your golf chip shot. During this video Pete Styles and Matt Fryer will help you understand why are you duffing the ball in these pressurised situations and also give you some great tips to help you to reduce the number of those shots that you hit.
Right Pete I want you to fix a scenario for me. So I was playing the other day I ripped a drive a 300 straight down the middle of the fairway very believable myself a 30 yard pitch over a little bunker onto the green fairly simple and my next shot was played from within the bunker. That is also very believable which part is going to fix for me.
Clearly the duffed pitch shot or chip shot was the issue there there's nothing wrong with a 300 yard down the middle and the not going into the bunker. I think it's obviously a problem for you on that scenario there but you've also got a lot of club and amateur golfers and I think the relevant part of that is the bunker the fact that you have something in front of you to hit over. I think for a lot of golfers they feel like they're quite confidently chipping and pitching the golf ball during the round then everything going ok then we introduce the scenario of the bunker the hump the pond particularly uncertainly that the the chipping technique breaks down.
