So running on similar lines to the previous tip, this time we are looking at your address position from the golf ball and actually moving you further away from the golf ball. Taking your normal address position with the driver and in short 2 inches on my knee cap, now if I shuffle further back from the golf ball so the club only just hits the top of my knee or maybe slightly below my knee that’s going to feel like a much more stretched out. So from this angle now, looking down the line, stretching my arms out a little bit more so it just misses my knee, this will encourage a much flatter, much more rounded baseball type of swing which means as I hit through the golf ball, have to come a bit more from the inside and stretched out, this would produce a little bit more of a right to left drawing sort of shape and actually stop me from ballooning the ball too high up into the air, reducing a little bit of the dynamic loft launch and spin.

So again it’s one of those tips that you kind of need to practice a little bit on the range because I think if you just move further away from the ball without any real practice, you are more likely to hit the ball sort of low out into the toe side or actually lose your balance as you are struggling to stretch forward. So have a little experiment with how moving further and closer to the golf ball can actually effect the height and the flight on the golf ball as well.
