I think one last little word of caution would be worthwhile here, when we’ve talked about this Nick Faldo-esc compact golf swing, is I do still want to encourage you to be aggressive in your downswing. So a lot of people, when they talk about making a compact swing, we’ve talked about less moving parts, and nice stable right elbow position, no head movement, no leg movement, we’ve have to make sure that when it comes to hitting the ball we actually still do hit it. We don’t want to get to a position where we swing up to the top so careful and we’re swinging down so carefully, we hit the ball nice and straight, nice and high in the air, seventy-five yards by the way, that one.
We don’t want that 75-yard pitch type action, we’ve got to get this nice compact position to the top but then turn the club loose and really give it a good drive through the ball and give it a decent bit of a hit. And for some golfers that can feel a little bit like a contradiction, that we’re making this smooth controlled compact backswing but then a decent hit through the ball. But you can see there I made a compact control backswing, but turn through the ball fully finishing on my left side, really driving that ball down and through the wind that we’ve got here today. So it’s quite a short compact backswing – very stable, less moving parts. That should just put you in a good position to really be able to commit through the ball and hit the ball quite aggressively and quite hard in your downswing.
