Master The Greens With Better Golf Putting Stroke Mechanics (Video) - by Pete Styles

So, you join me now on the putting green, to look through a miniseries of tips designed around making sure your putting mechanics are as simple as possible. And generally when we are lining up to make a putt, there is lots of different things that could affect the putt we could look at line and the brake and the speed and the quality of the surface. But it all really hinges on the fact that you have then got to go and hit the shot, you intended to hit in the first place. So, we have got to make sure we deliver the club aiming in the right direction, traveling at the correct speed and we have got to be able to do that fairly consistently.

Now on the ground scheme of things compared to the rest of the golf swing the actual putting mechanics of what happens to the club here to here are pretty simple, there is not that many moving parts, but they are still quite a few looking things that we have got to consider to make sure the club can move back and through in the correct fashion to deliver the ball down at the right speed under the right line because putting probably has a smaller margin of error than any of the part of the game, you know we are driving, we have got a fairway to hit, when we are hitting irons we have got to a green to hit, when we are putting, we have only got about four and a quarter inches to hit. So, we have really got to make sure that our putting stroke is as accurate and as repeatable as possible. And hopefully through these next series of videos we can start to improve your putting stroke mechanics.
