What would make golf practice more enjoyable? Now if you play the game for a number of years, you’ll understand, that to have some lessons and to improve your technique is the way to go if you want to lower your handicap. However having lessons and improving technique involves practice. And a lot of people don’t actually enjoy this part of the game, but there are ways you can make your practice more enjoyable and actually make you want to get out to the range.

Now one of these first things which you can which is a great way is to pair up with a practice buddy. So if someone who you’re friends with, another member of your club, someone who wants to improve their handicap as well, arrange a time when you can go down to the range together and it’s a great way to weigh each other on and to actually improve and to practice and to enjoy while you’re actually doing it as well. Another thing you can do to make your practice more enjoyable is actually kick start and play some games with yourself as well, don’t you stand on the mantle, stand on the range and just bash ball after ball, after ball. Take a little book, play a little game such as how many shots from 100 yards can I get in a certain area, keep the stats and it’ll give you a goal to weighing towards. The actual third thing you can do as well, kind of related to the thing I’ve just mentioned there, don’t hit the same shot, time after time, after time. Take a step away, take a little break, if you just bash and drive is to pull a seven iron out, and just try and shape a few shots, so try and hit a few fades, try and hit fair few draws, try and hit a few low shots, a few high shots, anything which will vary up your practice routine. If you’re standing there and you’re just hitting ball after ball, things can become quite stale and that’s what you don’t want to be doing. You don’t want to be standing at that driving range, you don’t want to be practicing, just feeling like you’re not improving, you’re not enjoying it. Because if you’re not improving and you’re not enjoying it, then you won’t want to go back, and if you don’t go back to practice, there is no real way that you’re going to be able to improve. So pair up with someone who is also, wants to practice and someone who you can have a good time with, keep stats and play games and just vary your practice routine. Because if you don’t practice, you won’t improve, but if you don’t enjoy practicing then you won’t improve either. So take the time, enjoy your practice and hopefully drop your handicap as a result.
