Garmin Approach G10 GPS Review

The Garmin Approach G10 GPS retails for $129,99 (MSRP) and it's a very small and lightweight gadget which comes fully loaded with everything you'll ever need on the golf course. Its main advantage is the fact that it comes preloaded with 40,000 international golf courses, meaning that you'll never have to pay another fee in the future ( updates and things of that nature). Together with the plethora of preloaded golf courses, the Garmin Approach G10 GPS features a Green View function, with manual pin positioning and a dedicated application that helps with digital scorecards and hazard/course targets. Obviously, the G10 will provide you with pin point accuracy when it comes to calculating the yardage to the back/front/middle of the green, together with hazards, pin placements, Green View and even more. You'll definitely enjoy the 1.3 inches wide high resolution display, which has great sunlight legibility and being large enough, it will provide you with a nice preview of the course layout, displaying the shape of the green together with manual pin placements.

The very versatile clip-on design will make the Garmin Approach G10 GPS your close companion, offering you a clear advantage on the course, regardless of your location. Being a clip on device, the Garmin Approach G10 GPS doesn't have all the bells and whistles of its bigger brothers, however, it's perfectly equipped with the essentials, helping you measure individual shot distances and calculating yardage anywhere on the turf, so you'll be able to perfectly calculate your approach. The enhanced stats feature will help you track greens in regulation, track fairways hit and putts per round. What I enjoyed the most about the Garmin Approach G10 GPS was its compact design and its very sensitive and precise GPS, everything in a very convenient form factor. Also, the respectable 15 hours of battery life in GPS mode is more than enough for a full day on the golf course. The built in odometer will also help you with calculating distances covered on the turf. Lastly, the Garmin Approach G10 GPS is Competition Approved, and also water resistant, meaning that you'll be able to play anytime/anywhere with this rugged and simple (as in intuitive) device.
