The continent of Australia is home to some of the most unique animals on the planet, such as the kangaroo, koala, wombat, and Tasmanian devil. And Australian golf is home to another unusual animal, Jason Day who is unique for his #1 World Golf ranking. One of the top putters on tour, Day had been using a prototype of the TaylorMade Spider putter called the Itsy Bitsy Spider which was in the bag for his 2015 PGA Championship win. Day asked for a putter which incorporated red and subsequently tested two different models before choosing the all red version that was in the bag for his 2016 The Players Championship win.
TaylorMade is releasing both versions of the putter, one with a black frame and red bumpers and the one similar to what Day uses with the red frame and red bumpers. The red color was intentionally matched to the venomous Australian Redback Spider a relative of the Black Widow spider. Day plays his putter without a site line on the crown, which is different than the Spider Limited that has an alignment aid on the crown. TaylorMade gives golfers all over the world a new way to creep putts into the cup with the Spider Limited putter.
