Here is another piece of terminology that I would like for you to understand. I would like for you to understand what it means and how it affects your game it is called a reverse pivot. Sometimes you might even have this sort of accusation levelled at you. So many might say Oh you've got a reverse pivot that's what's wrong with your swing and when you head that you kind of reverse pivot how do I correct it what's it doing to me. So let's understand what the reverse pivot is and how it can affect your game and most importantly how you can stop doing it and the pivot as the name implies this is the opposite of what we should be doing. It's the reverse of what we should be doing what we should be doing from a good set to be moving slightly towards the rear leg and then moving through the golf ball to the front leg.
Reverse pivot is the exact opposite in the back swing we're going to take the body weight and throw it over the front like lose the head to the front side. Dip the front knee in bodyweight go 70 80 percent the wrong way and then from here we're stuck to diverse out of it on the body weight finishes on the back like an Austin golf is that they do this like when they finish they're trying to scoop the ball up in the trying to hit the ball hard but the body is not being used in the fission fashion. So it's this reverse pivot has all sorts of problems related to hitting the ball not far enough getting bad contact hitting it left hitting it right in the ball topping the ball very rarely would you have a play well with a reverse pivot in your game. So correcting the reverse pivot is one of the best things you could do to improve your golf.
