If you've now gone away and worked hard and tried to get your swing more on plane, so you are less off plane. You are more on plane throughout the whole swing. What are the benefits that you are actually going to now start to see on the golf course? Well a couple of things you got to consider is the old sort of off plane position where you were laid off, so here to laid off here. It came out this way. That probably created a pull and a slice. So being on plane the first thing we should lose is that real fear of having a slice.

We shouldn’t have the ball cutting from left or right anywhere near as drastically as when you were laid off. You are going to be much more up and down the plane hitting straighter shots. The second thing that would also come with that as well is potentially a little bit more distance. When the club was coming from outside across the back of the ball if you have the face open, you'd be creating a lot to that left or right spin, cutting the ball up into the air, and potentially losing a lot of distance into the bargain. So now more on plane swings are generally going to fly a lot straighter towards the target. Now the next consideration might be that during your swing, you are going to feel you can use your lower body a lot more. Again that’s a great way of generating more power, because people are generally swinging to a laid off position. It's quite a handsy, armsy action. So sort of hands and arms here, hands and arms here and get yourself laid off. It's a hands and arms hit. We can't really engage the lower body correctly. But now we're more on plane up and down, you'll feel your lower body can have much more influence during the swing. So those are the key areas that I think you'll start to see benefits from. And they're all positives if you don't have the club so laid off. So get the club more on plane and see all those key attributes improve in your game.
