How many square club face at impact would give you really good results? You will hit very, very accurate shots. In order for the club face to be square, the ball generally as a rule of thumb will fly off the club face at a right angle. So in order to know if you are square in the club face, in the addressed position, this is a really simple drill that you can use on the range. So if you imagine a straight line from where the ball is, going directly to your targets, put a token down, or a coin on that target line maybe three to four feet but no further than that in front of the ball. Now as you set up, keep that spot in mind and as you set up, make sure the club face is positioned so the club face will allow the ball to fly off at a right angle from the club face which is directly over that coin. In order to get your feet in position, if you place your feet together so they are in line with the club face, you can now start left and right. So not only is the club face square, but you are now aligned correctly as well.

Now on the driving range obviously. you can you can put a coin or a token down to help you align on the golf course where you can look for, if you stand behind the ball look in your target, if you draw a line back, from your target, pick something else on that line, like twig or a divot or maybe a daisy or a different color or patch of grass, and you should find that using that spot, and then imagining a line from that spot, to the ball will allow you to put the club face in the correct position so it creates a right angle with that alignment line.
