Okay, so No-Peek Putting what’s all that about? Well it’s pretty straight forward isn’t it? If I said to you “don’t peek” it means “don’t have a look.” So how many of you would actually truly set themselves up over the ball, pull the swing back hit it and not actually do this. Whether you’re actually following that ball you could have said to me “Well, I’ve just hit it, so as I hit it why don’t I just follow it?” That’s most probably the reason, because if you’re over the Putt and you swing the Putter back and come back and you just start to move that head just ahead of the clubface then the Putter will now follow the head. The head is going to go this way to the left in which case the Putter will come around your body.

So by taking – by having a peek, by looking, you notice what happens here watch my shoulders what should happen, all by having a look. My shoulders will move to the left, my hips will move to the left, my legs have moved to the left, you can see a thing, wow, before I put the club across my legs you didn’t notice, but just by having a peek. And by having a peek my Putter then comes across. And if I come across and the Putter is on that line of coming across, I’m going to hit it to the left hand side just like it did in that Putt. You might think it was only just miss; well hang on a minute, I’m only foot away from the hole, what would happen if was; 14 foot away from the hole? It wouldn’t be an inch it maybe six inches out. So keeping your head still is very, very important. I would say more is a case of keeping your eye on the back of the ball and listen to the sound of it. So when I’m coaching people to stop peeking is a question of, right align yourself up; let’s put thrust in that set up, in your swing. Look at the back of the ball and as soon as you hear the ball go you can look. So back, now looking, you can see quite clearly there was a delay between that hit and me looking. And it’s very; very important though is to keep that position, look at the world’s best golfer’s watch every single one of them, there’s not one who will be having a peek. Keeping their head still, keep in it a vice; keep the eyes over the top of the ball. Take the Putter back and at the end of it bang, now let it go. If you’re not confident about doing that, that split-second delay why not just split the ball and just do what – here just count two, one, two, so probably go hit one, two now I’m looking oh the ball is in the hole. So very, very simple drill, you mustn’t undo all that hard work, imagine just down here, you looked at the line, you’ve got the lovely slope here and right at the last minute you’ve done all that hard work, you get over the ball and you go and have a peek. And as you do that you’re just going to change that swing direction dramatically and all of sudden you never gave yourself a chance in first place of even a hole in that Putt over the good luck, good fortune. So no peeking, I’m not going to say “if you keep your head down,” I’m saying look the back of the ball, hit one, two look and that will make a big difference to your Putting I can assure you. So what are you waiting for, get your Putt in a ball and get yourself out in that Putting green and practice.
