So if we've established that we'd like to hit the inside section of the golf ball and remember the inside section is the section that's nearest to me. So the side I'm standing on is going to be the inside part of the golf ball. Generally the feeling that we'd like to try and create to enable us to hit that section of the golf ball is a feeling of being connected in the golf swing. So connect is this concept that the hands and the arms and the body are all doing the same thing at the same time. And they're not going in two different directions. So we'd often see a golfer with a connected swing, were the hands and the arms work with the body here and everything is nicely connected. As I turn my body, my hands work in the same position and that's going to bring the club down from the inside then a connected position. Whereas a golfer that lifts the hands and the arms up and the separation between the hands, the arms and the body and then the hands work independently from the body and the hands don't do the same thing as their body. That would be a very disconnected swing.
So if you're going to try and work on drawing the golf ball and trying to work on hitting the golf ball from the inside. Which is the thing you need to do to draw the golf ball and then a connected swing is clearly going to be a better example for you. So from a set up position, if we use the hands and the arms independently, that's going to be a disconnected feeling. Generally that would hit the outside of the golf ball and create shots that are potentially can slice. If we can turn everything back and more of a one piece take away. More of a connected position, everything works down more behind the body connected from the inside and hit the inside part of the golf ball. That's going to be more of a connected inside approach to the golf ball, effectively that ball has more opportunity to draw. There's a couple other things I need to do to make sure it draws but the first part of this is get connected, get the club travelling from the inside and that's the best way to get a connected inside approach to the golf ball.
