Now here is a little challenge for you next time you go on the golf course pretend you got a caddy that doesn’t listen to you. So every time you think to yourself I need a seven iron you turn to your bag and say “Caddy give me a seven iron.” And the caddy actually gives you a six. And it’s going to get quite frustrating but I bet you score better in that round than the previous round, because most club golfers under hit when they are approaching greens. They always think they’re going to hit the club better and further than they actually do. Now the other thing to considered here is golf course designer wants the hole to look really attractive, so when he’s building the green he builds this nice big flat green and he cuts two nice big bunkers. And the bunkers are generally at the front, the water hazard around the front, all of this money they are spending building greens and bunkers and water hazards they don’t want to put it at the back where nobody see’s it, they want to put in the front. So if all the hazards are at the front of the green why do you keep paying clubs that don’t reach and ending up in the front of the green it doesn’t make any sense. So next time you go and play consider to two things, ware all hazards yep the are all at the front of the green so I can see them. So the safe part is at the back, now which club am I hitting here? I have got 150 right I’ve got my eight iron, really can you honestly hit that eight iron consistently that distance or have you done it once or twice on a good day on a down hill lie with a down wind? So imagine you’ve got the caddy that doesn’t listen and when you are on 150 you think right that’s an eight, I have got a caddy that doesn’t listen I’m going to take a seven, I’m going to clear the danger and the hazards at the front of the green. I’m going to play to the back of the green and just accept that challenge from me just this next around the golf try and hit one club more into every single green. And I reckon your scores will come down, you might surprise yourself, but golf is not a macho game of who can hit it the furthest. Golf is a game of who can score the lowest, use the caddy that doesn’t not listen, club up and your scores will come down.
