Steve Stricker Golf Pro - (Video)

You might not consider that you have a great deal in common with the world's best golfers on the PGA Tour. But about there's times when you feel like Steve Stricker might feel on the golf course. Times where he's out there playing with somebody like Bubba Watson and Bubba Watson is bombing the bull 300 yards passed him. And Steve Stricker is 250 off the tee on a good day. There would be times when you're around the golf course with that one playing partner you know always hits the ball further than you and you always playing into the greens first. You're always hitting 5-irons into the par 3s. He's always going in with a 9-iron, but that doesn’t bother Stricker because Stricker knows that his game is built around accuracy and consistency, very rarely, loosing balls, very rarely getting into any situations where its going to incur penalty shots, and try and build your game around your strength.

If your strength is accuracy off the tee just focus on the fact that you'll play and you'll hit most fair ways. You'll play. You'll hit less lost balls, less penalty shots. You'll keep the ball in play more. Allow your playing partners to bomb it there 50-60 yards passed you on the first few holds knowing that eventually they're going to succumb to the fact but not as accurate as you, will start carving a few shots out of the line and that's when you'll gain shots back. Don’t try and change your game to be like them. Don’t try and be Bubba Watson. Don’t try and hit the ball too hard or too far. Play to your strengths like Stricker does, and that will improve your skills.
