There's not many golf shots where alignment is more important than hitting a driver off a tee peg. The issue here is that if you aim for five degrees off line on a chip you are only going to be a few yards to the right if you aim five year five degrees off line with a driver and then hit this thing two hundred fifty yards five degrees at two hundred fifty yards probably missing your fairway and maybe even the one next to you.
