Okay, okay so what are the best of the golf shoes are these metal spikes is it soft spikes or is it spike-less? What is the best? Well you can think about the conditions, that’s number one and also the golf course you are going to play on. And that’s what counts, so for us here in the UK in Manchester we get a lot of rain. So we wear predominantly metal spikes. Metal spikes give a far, far better grip in soft, wet conditions and of course we get a lot of rain. Now if you happen to be out in Florida you might say well, “I don’t get as much rain out here,” so for you soft spikes. Soft spikes have a little plastic cleats that are on the bottom of your shoes. They give very, very good grip in dry conditions, they don’t tend to clog up too much and from there they are very, very comfortable, they really are. And then of course you have got your spike-less golf shoe. The spike-less golf shoe is just like a training shoe, they are like little -- or little pimples, getting the negative side of this is that if you get a bit of moisture on the ground, or a little bit of wet-full rain or dew, they become a little bit slippery and that is a dangerous thing that it is slippery.

And also if you get your grass coatings to define the way in all these little dimples and block the bottom, so it create – it now becomes a very slippery sort of shoe. So in dry conditions, in hot conditions, in hard ground, spike-less are great. You’ve also got the others as a plus at the end of the game, I want to go in the club house and have a drink, I want to – so, I have got metal spikes on, well you can’t go out to the club house with metal spikes on. And quite often you will find some golf course who would ban metal spikes because they can damage the greens, but from there you might think, okay I understand that. Now let’s go to soft spikes. Soft spikes you can keep them on, you can go to the club house as long as golf shoes are permitted in the club house and spikeless are the same. So hopefully we have indentified that, look at the conditions is it soft, is it wet, is it dry, is it firm? Metal spikes soft, wet conditions, soft spikes for all sorts of conditions, but not wet, and spike-less are definitely a no, no unless you’ve got very, very dry, warm conditions. So there is the difference and hopefully that helps you decide what shoes to wear in what conditions.
