Seamus Power is an Irish golf-pro born in Waterford, Ireland. Before turning professional in 2011, Seamus Power played a lot of golf while attending the East Tennessee State University in the US, where he scored 5 victories, including the 2007 and the 2010 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship. After graduating from college, Seamus Power tried to qualify for the Web.com Tour and he played on mini tours. After turning pro in 2011, he won 2 events in 2014 on the eGolf Professional Tour, thus earning his Web.com Tour card for 2015.
Seamus became the first Irish golfer to win on the Web.com Tour, and this happened at the United Leasing & Finance Championship. Also in 2016 he represented Ireland in the Olympics. As per the PGA Tour, Seamus Power is currently ranked 50th on 2017 Web.com Tour priority list. Besides golf, Seamus is passionate about accounting, yet he grew up playing golf tournaments for juniors with Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy. He also played in the World Racquetball Championship, and was top ten in the world at age 11. After watching Tiger Woods winning the Masters in 2017, he became very interested in golf and the rest is history.
