Born in Sacramento, California in 1984, Levin attended first the University of California, then the University of New Mexico, after graduating high school. While at college he was two time All-American. While at college Levin played with Michael Letzig and Wil Collins who were later to be fellow golf professionals.
After graduating from college, Levin turned professional in 2005. In 2008 Levin finished in 22nd place on the Nationwide Tour which meant he earned his card for the PGA Tour for the following season. During his first season on the Tour, Levin’s best finish was a tie for 7th place at the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee. At the end of the season he finished in 23rd place at qualifying school and retained his card for the following year.
Over the following two seasons, Levin achieved two high finishes, at the Children's Miracle Network Classic in 2010 and the Mayakoba Golf Classic in 2011.
As of the end of 2014, Levin had achieved no wins on the PGA Tour, amassing total prize money of $5,717,466.
