22 year old Korean golfer Kim Sei Young has already won on tour this year and she has predicted a very, very good future on the LPGA Tour. She has a very consistent golf swing and she has a couple of movements within her swing which a lot of people could adapt into their own game to hit more successful shots. She uses her hips in more of a classic fashion, so it’s something you see a lot of the older generation players do within their golf swing. What she does on the backswing is allow the hips to actually open quite well, not a lot but a lot more than many of the LPGA Tours, on tour at the current amount in time, and then rotates and turns them through on the through swing. A lot of the modern trend and a lot of the modern golfers keep their hips as still as possible as they turn back, and then extend them through as they hit through the shot. But she just allows a little bit of a turn, a little bit of a rotation on the way back, and then the same rotation on the way through. Allowing it to be a little bit more rotation on the way back, allows a little bit more of a turn, a little bit more of an extension and an ability to build up a little bit more power during the backswing, if you are struggling for a little bit of flexibility within the hips. So just very simply to practice this, just allow the hips to turn a little bit on the backswing, and then just rotate them through a little bit more. And if you get them working in conjunction and you get them working well together, it will add rhythm, it will add distance, and it will also add a lot of consistency to the ball flight.
