Karrie Webb can be considered as one of the greatest female golfers to ever pick up the club. At 40 years old, she has 41 victories to her name including multiple major championships. She has a swing which is built to last and there are many things from her technique you can take and implement into your game. One of the finest things that she does throughout her swing, is actually get the clubface matching up to her hands and to the rest of her body. She has a classic clubface relationship through the actual swing and through impact. As she takes the club away, it starts to rotate away quite naturally, until the toe of the club at this point when the shaft is at the parallel of point one. The actual toe of the club is pointed up at to the sky with the face slightly turned inwards. From there, the arms move upwards and the clubface at the top of the swing is mirroring the angle of the back of her left wrist and the back of her left arm.

As she comes down through the swing, that relationship continues is pretty much exactly the same as it was in the backswing and at impact because the relationships throughout the backswing is so good, the face is delivered nice and square. Now to actually practice these positions is just a matter of breaking them down and just checking and making sure that they are falling into place successfully. And then when you get it right, the shot goes away very, very straight, because there’s not a massive amount of manipulation needed with the hands and the clubface. So Karrie Webb one of the best players to ever pick up a club, try and take these aspects into your swing and you will hit the ball a lot straighter.
