Kim Hyo Joo is a Korean golfer 19 years old who is making her debut appearance on the LPGA Tour this year. Now she played four events as a non kind member last year and she shot 61 at the Evian Championship the lowest ever recorded round in an LPGA Major. So there are big things expected of this young lady. Now she is a very, very, very talented golfer but the one thing she really does very, very well is through the impact area extend her hips towards the target and upwards giving her a very pronounced position of the actual end of the golf swing. Now to actually do this a lot it is involved with driving the legs, driving the hips forwards and then pushing the hips upwards towards the target.

Getting this combination of factors really gives a maximum amount of distance and gets the most out of her frame. So it’s moving it forwards, its driving it forwards with the legs and the hips and then raising upwards after the point of impact. And it creates quite a lot of club head speed. Now her backswing is nice and wide, is a nice full turn but to replicate it is just driving forwards extending and standing very, very tall after actual impact, and if you can get it all moving together the club whips through very, very quickly indeed. So give those factors a go, get that impact sorted and you should hopefully hit some very long shots.
