Blair followed in his father’s footsteps by playing golf for the Brigham Young University. He had a successful college career, including receiving All-American honours in 2012. Before turning pro, Blair participated in the Web.com Q School. As he managed to reach the final stage of Q School, Blair won partial status on the Web.com Tour.

He turned pro at the start of 2014 and began plying his trade on the Latinoamerica PGA Tour. He played seven events, finishing in the top 25 in six of them while registering three top 10s. He began to get opportunities to play on the Web.com Tour. He managed to play twelve Web.com events, finishing six times within the top 25 and had three top 10s. Two of the top 10 finishes were as runner-up. The first second place finish was at the Price Cutter Charity Championship were he finished behind Australian Cameron Percy. He then finished sole second in the Web.com Tour Championship, one shot behind Derek Fathauer. With that finish, Blair secured his PGA Tour card for the 2015 season.

Blair finished in a tie for 12th in his first event of the 2015 PGA Tour season at the Fry’s.com Open. In his first 23 events, he has made the cut 14 times and has seven top 25 finishes. His best finish thus far was a tie for 6th place at the Sony Open. Blair is definitely a player you will be hearing more about in the future. At the time of writing he sits in 91st position on the money list, so he is well on his way to retaining his PGA Tour card for next season.
