Oklahoman Robert Streb was an All-American at Kansas State University. He turned pro in 2009 and began his career on the NGA Pro Golf Tour where he played his first two seasons, 2010 and 2011.
In 2012, Streb began playing the more lucrative Web.com Tour and experienced immediate success. Streb won the 2012 Mylan Classic. He followed that up with two more top 5 finishes and despite just playing the last few months of the Web.com Tour, Streb ended up 7th on the Web.com money list and secured his PGA Tour card for the 2013 season.
2013 was a learning experience for Streb. He had patches where he played well, recording three top-24 finishes. However, he ended the season at the dreaded 126th place on the money list, one spot away from fully-exempt status for 2013.
Despite this minor setback, Streb continued to play on tour in 2014, based on a string of solid performances. He finished in 2nd place at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and registered a top-ten at the Deutsche Bank Championship. He ended the season comfortably inside the top-125 and had full tour privileges for the 2015 season.
Streb further cemented his status as a PGA touring pro by winning his first title at the 2014 McGladrey Classic. This late 2014 season event is actually a part of the 2015 PGA Tour calendar. His hot play has continued during the first half of the 2015 season. He has six more top-ten finishes. Streb finished tied for the win at the Greenbrier Classic but lost in a four-person playoff to Danny Lee.
