Clark played college golf at Georgie Tech before turning pro in 1992. He plied his trade on the various mini Tours in the United States for a number of years. Despite winning the Olympia Open in 1996 and the Hershey Open in 1998, it wasn’t until Clark’s 1999 season no the Nationwide Tour that he finally won that elusive PGA Tour card. He had a total of eight top 10s in 1999 on the Nationwide Tour which led him to 24th on the money list.

He played 28 times in his rookie season on the PGA Tour. He captured his first and only (to date) PGA Tour title that season at the John Deere Classic. Clark shot a 63, 67 over the weekend to finish in a tie with Kirk Triplett. He duly defeated Triplett on the fourth play-off hole to claim the title. This was one of two top 10s that year for Clark and he finished his rookie season 56th on the money list. Clark was also awarded with the Rookie of the Year accolade.

After his rookie season, Clark would only have a further two top 10 finishes on the PGA Tour. He lost his full card after the 2004 season and has been playing on the Nationwide Tour ever since. His best finish at a Major Championship was a tie for 15th place at the PGA Championship in 2000.
