Michael Kim is an American golf-pro who is currently playing both the Web.com Tour and the PGA Tour. Born in South Korea, Michael Kim grew up in the States, in San Diego-California respectively. While in the States, he attended Torrey Pines High School, and afterwards the University of California, Berkeley, where he played college golf, being awarded the Pac-12 Men's Golfer of the Month in 2013. In the same year, he was named the Division I recipient of the 2013 Jack Nicklaus Award by the Golf Coaches Association of America, marking a historic first for the University of California, i.e. he was the first student to ever win national player of the year.

After winning the Haskins Award, Michael Kim qualified to play in the 2013 US Open. Later in 2013 he turned professional, and in 2014 he joined the Web.com Tour, and 2 years later the PGA Tour. As per PGA Tour status, Michael is currently ranked 100th in 2016-17 FedExCup points. His sports heroes are Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Tiger Woods, with whom he’d love to play a round of golf.
