He had his first full season on the Nationwide Tour in 2010. He finished runner-up twice that season including losing in a play-off to Australian Scott Gardiner at the Chattanooga Classic Presented by Black Creek. Affrunti ended the season by finishing in 3rd place at the Tour Championship. As a result of his good performances, Affrunti gained his first ever PGA Tour card for the following season after finishing the year 22nd in the Nationwide Tour standings.
IT was not a good rookie season for Affrunti. He only managed to play in six events before succumbing to a season ending shoulder injury. He had missed the cut in four of those events and had a best finish of toed 50th at the Puerto Rico Open presented by seepuertorico.com. He did not play again until 2013. On the Nationwide Tour, he played twelve events in the 2013 season, finishing 84th on the money list. His best finish that season was a runner-up finish at the United Leasing Championship Presented by PTI where he lost in a play-off to Ben Martin. He suffered another injury shortly after. He returned to playing this season and in eight events on the Web.com Tour, he has missed the cut six times.
