10 percent At A Time Golf Practice Game Video

    1. 10 percent At A Time Golf Practice Game Video

The 10% At A Time Golf Game is a great way of understanding how power is built up into your swing and potentially where faults might occur. So with my driver, ball teed up nice and high, and you're going to start off with 50% powered swing, so anything less than 50% you probably won’t feel like you are really swinging the club hardly at all. So we are going to start off 50%, proper setup, proper grip and everything. And now we are not talking about changing the length of the swing, the length would still be full length, so it’s not a half swing. It’s the full swing.

    2. The Percentage Error Golf Practice Game Video

The Percentage Error Golf Game is a great way of practicing when you are on the driving range to give you instant feedback over the quality and the success level of your shots. So what we're going to suggest you do here is hit a series of shots to a flag, make sure you know the distance for how far that flag is away, let's say, it’s 100 yards away, we are going to hit a series of 100 yard shots towards the flag. Then look at the average of how far away that shot is from your intended target and work out that in terms of a percentage of the distance. So if it’s a 100 yard shot, and my average distance is 10 yards away, I would say my percentage error is 10%, I am 10% away from the flag. If I've got a 200 yard shot and I hit the ball 10 yards away again, I am only 5% away from the flag.

Now here is a great putting game. It's a pretty tried and tested putting game, but I've got a couple of different levels for you to play it on. So we're going to call it the compass putting game simply working with the north, east, south, and west compass points. Now initially I've taken one club length back away from the hole and normally you take the flag out. I've just left the flag in here purely so that the camera can see where the hole is a little bit more clearly sometimes it's difficult to see it.

I think we would all agree that when we play out on the golf course, we're secretly competitive with the people we are playing with, we are often competitive against ourselves and our own handicaps and our own score of course, but there is nothing better than beating the person you are playing with. So it’s interesting that when we practice, most golfers practice alone and they don’t practice with any of that competitive edge, competitive instinct. And I think that's a bit of a mistake. So this game will help you hone that competitive instinct in practice, so hopefully encourage you to take it down to the golf course and not suffer under pressure quite so much.

How to play a Practice game called towel target chipping. And what I've done is taken my golf towel off the side of my bag, placed it on the green in the location where I'd actually like to land the ball with my chip and run shot. And this is a great way of visualizing the right area to land on because now as I setup to the ball, I don't actually have to look necessarily at the flag. I can start to focus on my towel laid out in front of me. I'm going to line up and take a few shots.
