The Ecco Men's Biom Hybrid 3 GTX/BOA retail for $200 and $220 respectively for the BOA version (both prices are MSRP) and they're available in 6 colorways (the GTX) and 2 colorways (the BOA). The only difference between the Ecco Men's Biom Hybrid 3 GTX and the BOA is that the latter comes with a proprietary closure technology (the BOA thingy) which allows you to make easy adjustments and quick lacing, i.e. to achieve the ideal/most comfortable fit in the shortest amount of time possible. Other than that, both versions are quasi identical, offering top notch performance and amazing comfort on the golf course via premium materials and functional design elements. To begin with, the Biom Hybrid 3 GTX golf shoe is a notable evolution of Ecco's Biom line, involving a huge amount of design enhancements, as basically every aspect of the GTX/BOA's design elements has meaning and a specific purpose. In terms of design, the Biom Hybrid 3 GTX/BOA have a simple and clean appearance, with minimal branding. However, every design-feature is subtly emphasized somewhere on the shoe. The dark leather trim makes for an interesting coordination with the heathered fabric around the ankle, and they both contrast pleasantly to the midsole and the body of the shoe.

While the sole is clearly designed for performance, it also leaves a cool pattern in the sand as you walk the turf. In terms of comfort, the Biom Hybrid 3 GTX/BOA deliver right out of the box, and they're extremely comfy to tell you the truth, as their yak leather upper is both supple and soft, yet extremely strong and durable, lightweight and breathable. These babies deliver an amazing balance of flexibility and support, due to the company's proprietary Biom Natural Motion technology, that really works. Considering their non-cleated design, the Biom Hybrid 3 GTX/BOA have impressive grip/traction, while their Gore-Tex lining makes sure your feet will stay dry regardless of the weather. Bottom line, both the Biom Hybrid 3 GTX and the BOA are impressive, being extremely comfortable both on and off the golf course (which is a rarity nowadays even with non cleated golf shoes), and the best thing is that they don't sacrifice performance for comfort, not a bit. If you've never tried a pair of Ecco's Biom shoes, you should give these babies a try.
