Callaway claims that the new Rogue irons are the best combination of distance, accuracy, and playability that the company has ever released. These irons feature a shallow rim around the face that flexes and releases at impact in order to increase ball speed. They also feature VFT, variable face thickness which increases the area of increased speed at impact.The clubface is made with elastic-urethane microspheres to provide the best possible sound and feel from a game improvement iron. The Rogue irons also feature tungsten weighting that allows them to precisely place the center of gravity in each club, especially the long irons. These clubs are available form 3-LW and will cost you over $800.
#3 – Ping G410
Ping claims to have reshaped game improvement irons with the release of the G410. This model has less offset and a shorter length clubhead without sacrificing MOI which makes them forgiving. These clubs were created with the goal of helping high handicap players improve their trajectory and hold more greens. They accomplished this by creating a larger flexing zone in the face that allows the player to hit it farther with more speed. Taylormade’s new game improvement irons are a step above any other game improvement irons that they’ve made. These irons both have a new technology from Taylormade called the Speed Bridge which connects the cavity to the top ridge of the iron. This Speed Bridge enhances energy transfer and produces an excellent sound and feel. Their Speed Pocket increases the ball speed, even on a miss hit. These irons use the Speed Bridge to launch the ball higher which helps the ameauter. These irons come with premium shafts with no upcharge. There are several differences between the M5 and M6 irons. The main difference is the fact that the M5 irons have tungsten weighting in them. Also, the M6 has a full fluted hosel while the M5 only has the fluted slot on one side of the hosel. Finally, the head of the M6 irons are 10mm longer than the M5. These irons are excellent for the player that struggles with speed and wants to launch the ball higher in the air.
