Nike just revealed their latest Scotland inspired Nike Car Nasty golf shoes a few weeks ago, at the Open Championship in Scotland. This latest release from the American sporting goods giant, the Tour Premiere PE “Car-Nasty” respectively, proves that even if Nike quit the golf-club manufacturing racket, they're still pretty much into making awesome golf shoes. The Car Nasty kicks are a homage of sorts for the Open Championship, as they're designed featuring a tartan plaid print, which resembles Scotland's traditional kilts, worn by Scots of all creatures. Joke aside, the Nike Car Nasty golf shoes are nick-named after a golf course in Scotland, the country that also spawned the game in case you did not know it yet. Scotland's Carnoustie Golf Links golf course is famous (or infamous, depending on whom you ask) for its difficulty, and plays a significant role in the Open rota.

Speaking of Nike's homage to this beast of a golf course, these shoes have the name NASTY printed on the outsole. As far as nicknames go, Nike's is as good as it gets. If you were wondering why the Carnoustie golf course is nick-named nasty, well, it may have to do with its narrow layout and the fact that it exposes players to strong winds now and then. To get more technical, the Nike Car Nasty golf shoes are built using regular plastic spikes on the outsole, and they feature a state of the art secure lockdown design, which comes with a quick pull top strap and tab, in order to provide easy loosing and tightening, as required. If you like these babies, the bad news is that Nike's Scottish-accented Tour Premiere PE spikes are a limited edition, and they're available for golfers in North America and the EU via Nike's official website, Nike.com that is.
