Puma Golf Introduces next-gen Ignite NXT collection

Puma is a brand synonym with high-end sports gear, and the latest news from their golf division is going to make a lot of fans happy: the American based company decided to take their Ignite golf-shoe line to the NXT level. Enter the NXT collection, which makes for a completely new and revamped generation of Puma’s hugely popular Ignite line of shoes. The latest Ignite NXT features a new and improved lacing system, contemporary and cool-looking upper sillouhette designs, along with a spikeless traction outsole. In not so many words, the Ignite NXT collection makes for Puma Golf’s newest spikeless line of golf shoes. Usually speaking, Puma-made golf shoes are well known for their cutting edge design and technology, but the next generation Ignite NXT is also designed for delivering all-day-long comfort and stability for golf aficionados.

The Ignite NXT relies on 3 different patented technologies for securing one’s foot firmly into place: first, an old school/traditional lacing style, that works together with Puma’s Disc technology and the brand spanking new Solelace, which is designed for delivering unparalleled locked in fit. Besides their awesome looks, the Ignite NXT shoes are also boasting the latest bells and whistles, technology wise, as they're aimed at providing you with the best golf experience possible out on the links. The special traction pattern on the Pro Form TPU-made outsole features more than one hundred hexagonal lugs, and despite its spikeless design, you’ll be delighted to discover these shoes’ amazing grip and stability, regardless of the difficulty of the terrain.

Underneath the foot, Puma created a new Ignite Foam midsole, featuring a Soleshield wrapping (a very thin state of the art TPU-made film), which adds to durability, while boosting comfort, round after round. The waterproof mesh-made upper is pretty much like a wetsuit, with a sturdy yet lightweight finish, featuring Puma’s patented Pwrframe reinforcement system, which is focused on providing additional support to the areas that suffer from increased stress during motion, especially during the swing. Everything in the Ignite NXT is about boosting comfort and confidence, and increasing stability and support via the use of lightweight materials, so you can concentrate on your game and make the best of it. According to Puma’s Product Line Manager for Golf Andrew Lawson:

The popularity of our Ignite spikeless footwear surpassed our early expectations, as golfers of all ages and skill levels have recognised the comfort and convenience benefits Puma’s spikeless performance footwear can provide.

As well-received as our current offerings of spikeless footwear have been, we’ve taken our game to a new level with the NXT collection that blends incredibly stylish silhouettes, rooted in Puma’s performance heritage, with three distinct closure options, to ensure the perfect fit and feel for every golfer.

To begin with, there’s the Puma Ignite NXT Solelace shoe, which is available in a multitude of colorways to suit everyone’s fantasy (Burnt Olive/Aged Silver/Black, Black/Team Gold, Gray Violet/Team Gold/Quiet Shade and Peacoat/Team Gold). Retailing for $120 (MSRP) on pumagolf.com, the NXT Solelace combines perfectly the NXT technology, for superior stability and traction, with the supreme comfort offered by its IGNITE foam system, not to mention Puma’s excellent closure system, the SOLELACE thing. Being one of the most innovative lacing systems to date, the SOLELACE consists of lightweight yet super-tough TPU-made units, that are attached to the midsole directly, thus allowing the laces to offer 360 degree of support by completely enveloping the golfer’s foot. This clever design really works like magic when it comes to tightening the shoe by pulling the midsole and the outsole, rather than the system found in regular shoes, hence providing for the ultimate ground feel and comfort all day long. This system was pretty common back in the day, when rugby and football players used to wrap the laces underneath the shoe, prior to tying them back on top, for added stability. Puma’s new SOLELACE system seems to use the same concept, yet there’s a nice touch of technology added to this old-school technique. Finally, to provide an even better locked-in fit, the Puma Ignite NXT Solelace combines the PWRFRAME technology with its performance oriented mesh-upper.

Next in line, enter the Puma Ignite NXT, yet another high-tech golf shoe which is currently retailing for $120. Just like its SOLELACE kin, the NXT features a Performance Mesh upper, boasting the same Ignite Foam technology for improved comfort, along with a completely revamped traction system on the outsole (ORGANICALLY-ALTERED TRACTION technology) which makes for an all-rounder spikeless golf shoe that can be used both on and off the course. The Pwrcage technology is also embedded in the Ignite NXT, as well as the PWRFRAME reinforcement system, to confer additional support during the swing, but the lacing system is more on the traditional-side, providing a familiar and easy fit. The new Ignite NXT shoe is available in four colorways: Black/Silver/White and Peacot/Team Gold/White.

The Puma Ignite Disc has the same $120 retail price, just like its siblings, and utilizes all the features and technologies of the Ignite NXT, the PWRFRAME, IGNITE Foam and ORGANICALLY-ALTERED TRACTION respectively, along with the highly innovative PRWCAGE, for added stability and comfort during the swing. On top of that, we have the Disc tightening system, a proprietary technology that consists of a micro adjusting dial system for delivering the ultimate convenience and the perfect/custom/consistent fit for your foot. The new Ignite Disc golf shoe is currently on sale on pumagolf.com in Quiet Shade/Team Gold/Black, Black/Silver/White, High Rise/Team Gold/White and Peacoat/Team Gold/White color-combos.

Then, there’s the Puma Ignite NXT Pro, on sale for $120. This time, the Performance mesh upper is replaced with a microfiber material, which has less flex. The PWRFRAME reinforcement is still here, along with the TPU design which is apparent in the entire Ignite NXT line-up, for next-generation stability, comfort and traction. If you’re seeking for less flex from your golf shoes, the NXT Pro are the perfect choice, and they’re available in High Rise/Team Gold/White, Black/Team Gold/White and White/Silver/Gray Violet colorways.

Finally, we have the Puma Ignite NXT Solelace Women’s. The ladies’ choice retails for $100 and you can order them in Peacoat/Metalic Pink; Black/Metalic Pink and Quarry/Caribbean Sea colorways. Despite being cheaper, the Puma Ignite NXT Solelace Women’s comes loaded with the same technologies as the men’s version, including the revamped spikeless outsole, the excellent Solelace closure technology, the breathable-non-stretch Performance Mesh upper and the Ignite Foam technology, for amazing comfort.
