The Ping Hoofer bag has already achieved legendary status among golf enthusiasts worldwide. People who are acquainted with the Ping Hoofer golf bag’s qualities tend to joke that a Hoofer would be one of the few things to survive a nuclear strike with flying colors, i.e. after the big SHTF, all that would be left alive on Earth would be the original Hoofer golf bag, a cockroach and Keith Richards, who would later smoke the respective cockroach and then play a round of golf, or something along these lines
Joke aside, Ping Hoofer golf bags are exceptionally sturdy and well made, and it looks like the 2019 model stands true to its colors. The 2019 Hoofer is built following Ping’s philosophy, which is centered on durability, functionality and comfort, maybe even in this particular order. Basically, the new golf bag from Ping’s latest 2019 line-up would make for the ideal companion on the golf course if you’re looking for the best gear available, and we’re not mincing words here. Besides its iconic/traditional look and design, the new Hoofer is everything about innovation and staying ahead of the times.
Ping’s R&D department worked hard on this one, and we must praise them for one of their most interesting color options we’ve seen to date, and we’re talking about the Hoofer Multicam. Multicam, as in camouflage, a colorway that would make for the perfect choice in a golf-bag to match one’s survival kit, or the ideal piece of golf-gear to use after a total World War. We’re only kidding, but the Hoofer Multicam really looks awesome. To quote from classics, optics aside (screw your optics…you know the drill), the new Hoofer comes with a completely new and redesigned strap system, and we’re talking about Ping’s patented and legendary double-strap thing, which was basically invented and pioneered by our favorite company many moons ago. This particular design consists of 2 separate straps which crisscross one’s back in order to center the mass of the bag perfectly. Now, there’s a new strap connector in the Hoofer, which is supposed to be better than, well, sliced bread, or whatever. On top of that, we have another brilliant feature a Ping exclusive in the golf-bag industry respectively. Can you guess what it is?
Here it comes: the new feature is a sort of pocket in the hip-back-pad on the bag, designed to hide the rain hood. Truth be told, even if this isn’t completely breaking-news, it’s a smart thing to have in a golf bag. Other than that, we should mention the twelve pockets, which offer ample storage space for everything and your kitchen sink, and the fact that they’re cleverly designed to be easy to access even when your Hoofer is on the cart. And obviously, all Hoofer golf bags are fully compatible with basically all standard pushcarts, and they even feel at home in the back of a riding cart, due to a clever system which holds the legs closed if so required, along with the Hoofer’s squared-off bottom-shape.
