If you’re a fan of Brooks Koepka and/or of Nike, the good news for today is that the company announced recently their latest Air Zoom Infinity Tour golf shoe, which is as awesome as it sounds, but what’s really interesting is that this premium golf shoe was developed in collaboration with no other than World Number One Brooks Koepka. Obviously, this makes for a high-performance golf shoe that is designed to deliver amazing comfort and speed to golfers of all skill levels, i.e. you don't have to be a Tour pro to enjoy a pair of these awesome golf shoes.
Also, the Air Zoom Infinity Tour shoes are specially designed to make your life easier on the golf course as they are capable of delivering incredible energy return from the ground-up by redistributing/harvesting a part of the energy lost by the human body during the swing. The Air Zoom Infinity Tour project started way back in 2017 when Brooks Koepka asked Nike’s designers to help him with designing a running shoe, Nike’s specialty, that can be also used to play golf in, and yes, the end result of that project is the Nike Air Zoom Infinity Tour shoe. Basically, if you’re looking for ultimate athletic performance in a grippy and stylish golf shoe produced by one of the world's biggest sportswear manufacturer, look no further, you've just found the perfect match.
Here’s Matt Plumb, Nike Golf Product Line Manager on the creation of Nike’s latest “trick”:
“Brooks was instrumental in the Air Zoom Infinity Tour iterative process, helping us get to the point where we can now help golfers look at their footwear as part of their equipment on the course.”
According to the company’s internal documents, the new shoe was developed after Nike’s designers combed through data from pressure maps, to see where to position the traction elements to achieve the ultimate energy return on movement. Moreover, the new golf shoes feature Nike Zoom Stroble technology with a moderator plate which confers them the comfort and structure required on the golf course, plus weather-resistant Flyknit material in the upper and, as well as Nike REACT foam. The new shoes will be available for purchase starting with April 1st, and no, this is not an April Fool’s joke either.
