Lynx Golf Launched Recently Prowler Forged and VT Stinger Utility Irons

If you live in North America, the good news for today is that Lynx Golf revealed recently their latest Prowler Forged irons and the VT Stinger utility irons for 2020. Here’s the CEO and co-owner of Lynx Golf Steve Elford:

“Our Prowler lines have been embraced by players around the world because they perform incredibly well and have a beautiful aesthetic that speaks to avid golfers. These additions to the collection fill two spaces our customers have been asking for, a driving iron with outstanding performance and without the standard bulky look of modern hybrids, and a cavity-back forged iron that looks and feels as good as our blades, but offers added forgiveness.”

The Lynx Prowler Forged irons and VT Stinger irons were first showcased at the 2019 PGA Show in Orlando, but, at the time, they were not available for the North American golf players via traditional channels. It's worth mentioning that Lynx Golf is a UK based company, and the recent launch of their Prowler family coincides with the company's efforts to make the brand more accessible to the US market. Besides the Prowler Forged irons and VT Stinger, Lynx Golf made available other popular products for US golf aficionados, including the Prowler VT irons, Black Cat, and Tigress lines of clubs.

While the Prowler line is something akin to the best of the best in the company's portfolio, as it benefits from cutting edge manufacturing processes and engineering, and the VT Stinger is a statement to that. The VT Stinger utility iron comes with a VT face (various thickness technology) that works by redistributing mass around the perimeter, with the endgame being an increased moment of inertia. The increased MOI helps with improving accuracy as well as the distance on mishits by an impressive 36%, and yes, we're quoting Lynx Golf themselves on this one. The VT Stinger comes in a classic muscle back design, and a wider than usual sole, and it's definitely built to appeal to golf purists. As per availability and specs, the VT Stinger comes in lofts of 12.5 degrees and 16 degrees with a KBS Tour steel shaft for $129, or, if you want something extra, a UST Mamiya Recoil graphite shaft $149. And yes, this baby offers amazing value for the money asked.

The new Prowler Forged irons are crafted using high quality soft 1020 carbon steel which is CNC milled to perfection for quality control purposes, and, obviously, for precise CoG placement. The irons feature progressive offset design, i.e. they’re built with better players in mind, as well as a beautiful polished chrome finish, that appeals to…well, everybody I know, and their dog. Basically, if you’re looking for a nice set of irons that work on all handicap ranges, this classically styled iron packs a lot of oomph for the money asked. Each head is CNC milled and comes equipped with 5 tungsten screws (fixed), aimed at precisely position mass for a lower CoG and increased moment of inertia. The low center of gravity is great for improving spin and launch, which in real life translates into higher flying/easier to stop shots. As per specs and availability, the Prowler Forged iron set comes stock 5-PW and are can be ordered with KBS Tour 90 Steel shafts for $999 (MSRP) or UST Mamiya’s graphite Recoil shaft for $1,169 (MSRP).
