Bushnell Golf Launches Two New Laser Rangefinders: Tour V5 Tour V5 Shift

If you follow the PGA Tour religiously, just like we do, you probably know that Bushnell laser rangefinders are widely used by Tour pros, and the company itself is arguably the best in the business. The good news for today is that Bushnell unveiled recently their latest laser rangefinders, the Tour V5 and the Tour V5 Shift respectively, continuing the tradition of pushing the technological limits and setting new standards in the game

Bushnell is well known for implementing cutting edge technologies into their products, and they lead the pack through constant innovation, hence the new laser rangefinders are designed to deliver impeccable build quality, as usual we might add, along with the ideal melange of speed, size, accuracy and, most importantly, Visual JOLT. Here’s Derek Schuman, Senior Brand Manager at Bushnell Golf, commenting about his company’s latest products:

Bushnell Golf Launches Two New Laser Rangefinders: Tour V5 Tour V5 Shift

“Golfers look to us to provide the most accurate distance readings on the course to perform at their highest level. We are constantly innovating and developing new technologies, and with the addition of our BITE magnetic cart mount, Visual JOLT and our updated slope algorithm in the Tour V5 Shift, we continue to provide golfers the products they need to increase their confidence and play better golf.”

One of the most important technological improvements in the new laser rangefinders from Bushnell is the introduction of what the company calls BITE technology, which consists of a magnetic mount of sorts. This magnetic thing helps a lot with securing the rangefinder to one’s golf push-cart or whatever, thus eliminating the need for buying expensive and sometimes inefficient accessories. BITE is a nice touch from Bushnell, and a nice feature to have, considering that it provides 7 lbs of pull strength, i.e. you can rest assured that your Bushnell will never fall off your golf cart, regardless of what happens on the battlefield.

JOLT is another famous and proprietary technology employed by Bushnell in their laser rangefinders, and the new V5 Tour/Tour Shift are benefitting from its latest reiteration. Obviously, what we’re dealing with here is PinSeeker with Visual JOLT Technology, and this time, as the JOLT thing vibrates to provide you precious feedback when the device locks onto the flag, you’ll also see a red ring flashing; basically, you will have both haptic and visual feedback from your laser rangefinder, features aimed at boosting confidence on the golf course. Among the main features available in Bushnell’s latest laser rangefinders we must mention Slope-Switch Technology (Tour V5 Shift only), a new and improved slope algorithm (Tour V5 Shift only), PinSeeker with Visual JOLT Technology, within 1 yard accuracy, the aforementioned and praised Built-in BITE Magnetic Cart Mount (available on both models), 5-1,300-yard range performance (400+ yards to a flag), Bright, clear optics (2x brighter than previous generation), 6x magnification (objects appear 6x closer), a high-tech and very fast focus-system, everything backed by 2 year warranty.

We must also mention that the new Bushnell Tour V5 and V5 Shift are resistant to elements, aka rainproof and dustproof, which means they can be used anytime, anywhere, regardless of the weather conditions, and also that the retail package contains a premium carry case plus a 3V battery. If you’re already sold, the bad news is that you’ll be able to order these cutting edge laser rangefinders starting from next March, and the retail price is $299,99 for the Tour V5 and $399,99 for the Tour V5 Shift. They’re not cheap, but quality comes at a price!
