The Grove Park Inn Resort and Spa

An absolute masterpiece. The hotel is owned by Omni Hotels, and it adds a beautiful clubhouse to a stunning golf course. ?Sitting at just over 6,200 yards, Grove Park Resort is a typical mountain golf course defended by the undulation and tree lined fairways.

The course layout is nothing too difficult for even the average golfer to navigate with ease. The majority of the holes are straight forward, and as long as you find the fairway, you will find strong scoring. With that said, there are a few tricky holes, with strategically placed ponds and streams. The par 3 second hole has a stream running right in front of the green, and the miss has to come long, or water awaits. The 3rd hole has more water, which runs up the left side. The miss on this hole is to the right, from tee to green. If you can keep your miss long, then you can set yourself up for a nice birdie attempt. The next round of water does not come until the par 4 sixth hole, but it is mostly for looks, sitting just in front of the tee box. Dont be alarmed, all you need to do is reach the fairway and youre home free. ?And that does it for the water, you have escaped and are ready to enjoy a very easy track. Find the fairway, find scoring.

In all, if you are looking for a long-ball challenge, then I suggest you look elsewhere. Grove Inn is more of a resort style course, that is very golfer friendly and has little defense from low scores. If you are looking to enjoy the day and put up a strong number, then look no further. Grove Park Inn is a hidden gem in its own way, and I would suggest giving it a try if you are in the area.
