Grand Traverse Resort and Spa Golf Club Course Review

The Grand Traverse Resort and Spa Golf Club was opened way back in 1980 and it stretches over 900 acres of property north of Traverse City, Michigan on a pastoral landscape which looks like the Shire from the Lord of the Rings movie. To describe it in a few words, the Grand Traverse is the place to visit if youre looking for a first class golfing experience, being a premier destination for golf aficionados due to its exceptional golf courses, each of them providing its visitors with various levels of challenge. Among those (the courses that is), I must mention The Wolverine, The Bear and Spruce Run. As I already mentioned, the piece of real estate upon the Grand Traverse golf club sits is bucolic in appearance, making for a once in a life time experience.

The property also features (besides the three championship golf courses) a full service fitness area and a spa, an outdoor/indoor pool area, a tennis court, 6 lounges/restaurants and an excellent beach club, where you can relax and have fun with your friends and family after playing a few rounds of golf. Each golf course is different but all of them are in perfect condition, featuring extremely generous fairways and no so difficult roughs, excellent greens and an absolutely incredible staff, exceptionally friendly and well trained. The three golf courses were designed by Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player and they all feature a perfect design and routing, with The Bear being the must-play one if youre a guest at the Grand Traverse resort. The Wolverine is hugely popular due to its highly playable design, while the Spruce Run is the sportiest of the bunch.
