Augusta National Golf Club Course Review

The Augusta National is a famous (private) golf course, available for members and their guests only and it can be described as a radical rather than classic design, being opened for business since 1932. Augusta National was created by an architect, Dr. Alister McKenzie, working together with the famous golf player Bobby Jones, a very cerebral and gifted individual. This collaboration between two great minds translated into something very close to the ideal golf course. Now, it's common knowledge that Augusta National is basically home to the Masters, Georgia's dream golf course, sitting in an outstanding location and being a very exclusive golf club, designed by the world's best architect together with the world's best golf player. As you can imagine, Augusta National is the number 1 ranked golf course in America, even if it doesn't have an official USGA rating.

Playing a round of golf on Augusta National is maybe the most coveted 4 hours for almost any golf aficionado in the US, but you have to be either very lucky or very rich to get in. Or, you'll have to be invited by a member. Also, playing on Augusta National can be regarded as a once in a lifetime experience, with challenging greens and making for the ultimate golf experience, being very hilly with unimaginable greens in terms of slope and speed (the fastest I've ever tried). Bottom line, if you want to experience the holy grail of world's golf courses, the Augusta National is a must-try in this life, being as beautiful and as challenging as it gets, making for an absolutely amazing experience. Get there with a laid back mind set and don't forget to bring sunscreen, as the Augusta National is the ideal environment for relaxing and playing a great round of golf (remember, no cellphones allowed).
