Abraham Ancer is a Mexican pro golfer with dual American/Mexican citizenship. Born in McAllen, Texas, Abraham was raised in Reynosa, Mexic, and he played golf at both the University of Oklahoma and at Odessa College. Ancer graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2013. As an amateur, he won twice at Oklahoma and was a first-team All-American during his one year at Odessa. After turning pro in 2013, Abraham Ancer played on the Web.com Tour until 2015 and then he earned a PGA Tour card for the 2016 season as he finished 11th in the regular season money list after winning the the Nova Scotia Open in July (2015). Currently playing in the PGA Tour, Abraham Ancer is 6th on 2017 Web.com Tour priority list.
His parents are Mexico natives and speaking of early golf memories, he vividly remembers meeting Jack Nicklaus and beating his father for the first time. Besides golf, Abraham loves collecting putters, race car driving and he would enjoy flying jet fighters and jumping out of an airplane.
