I guess the question now would be, if I've worked so hard on improving my hips, I now understand what my hips are doing. They are going to be the key attributes to what I'll expect to see out on the golf course. Well the first thing we would probably like to notice there’s a bit more distance. You know if you're turning your hips nicely through the golf shot, we would really like to see that the ball's going to go a little bit further. So it's storing power in the backswing, releasing power in the follow-through. That ball should be flying a little bit further.

The next thing I'd like to see is actually a bit more of a solid contact on the ball, effectively a more solid strike. By turning your hips better you're moving your body weight into a better position. You should feel the club impact the golf ball better. That's going to help us hit the ball a little bit further and a little bit straighter too. One other area you are going to see out on the golf course is your ability to deal with different varieties of lies. Often when you're playing on the golf course, you are going to have ball below, ball above your feet or from this way an uphill shot or a downhill shot. Now if you're not moving your body weight correctly during the swing and you are getting off balance, you're probably going to struggle particularly when those lies get a bit awkward. So by positioning your hips nicely in the backswing and driving them through better in the downswing, you should be able to deal with those awkward lies a little bit better. And the fourth thing that I’d expect to see when you're improving your hip rotation out on the golf course is a better rhythm. So during your swing, your hips really set the timing, the tempo and the rhythm of the swing. If we left it all to the hands and the arms, we could find that the hands and the arms get a bit quick with the swing. But because we're moving quite a big part of the body and these big parts of the body is effectively initiating the start of the downswing, this is the thing that tells us when to hit the ball. We should see better rhythm which again leads to more distance and more consistency of strike, and more consistency of shots throughout your golf game. So working on the hips, you are going to see those four areas improve and hopefully much better golf shots out here too.
