Shanshan Feng is the first Chinese professional golfer to play on the ladies’ tour. And she’s a model of consistency. Last year at the 24 events she played, she made 24 cuts winning once, but she’s also a multiple winner on the tour as well; so a very talented player. Now she has many good aspects to her swing but the way she actually moves the club into impact to hit a very good consistent draw shot has to be one of them. She has a very, very strong set up, a very stable base, a nice wide swing but on the way down, she really gets the club moving behind it. Not quite into this integrated position, that gets the club moving around her, which allows it to come on an inside path, and release the club through hitting a consistent draw. Now one way to do this is to get to the top of the backswing, and really feel like the club is dropping behind you. So again, the club from this position and then moving it behind you here allowing yourself to turn through, and then extending the arms down towards the target. If you can get this right, and if you can get the clubface nice and square, but slightly close to the path, you will get a lovely nice draw, big extension, club dropping behind, and then I draw shape within the way. So a very talented golfer, up near the top of the world rankings, and an exceptionally consistent player to boot.
