Want to play the same irons as U.S. Open champ Justin Rose, but don’t quite have the game for them?
TaylorMade’s new SpeedBlade irons feature the same technology as the company’s high-end RocketBladez models, but with a larger clubhead and lower center of gravity to meet the needs of amateur golfers.
Like RocketBladez irons, the SpeedBlade is powered by TaylorMade’s Speed Pocket, a slot in the club’s sole which, according to the company, “enables a large area of the face to flex and rebound at impact, resulting in faster ball speed, higher launch and better feel.”
SpeedBlade irons are available in 8-piece sets with several shaft options. Steel-shafted models retail for $799; a graphite-shafted set is $899. TaylorMade offers SpeedBlade wedges separately at $100 each. Look for the new sticks in your local golf shop on October 4, 2013.
